April Meeting Reminder

Our April meeting will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 10 am to 12 pm at the West Newbury Old Town Hall. (NOTE: this is different from the Annex. The Old Town Hall is where Robin and Sam led the Improv workshop of last spring.)

We will be holding a brief quilt-sleeve attaching demo. If you'd like to look at the tutorial ahead of time, it is Jacquie Gering's tutorial, and can be found HERE. (if you set out to do this on your own before the meeting, don't hem the sleeve "on all sides," hem only the left and the right sides.)

Then Amy will demonstrate how to paper-piece her Kite Tails quilt pattern (see her Instagram post with hers and Judy's sample blocks, above!) and we will have a sew-in for raffle blocks. Please bring your sewing machine, equipped with the following:

Please come prepared to sew with your sewing machine loaded with cream/off white thread and a size 90 needle or Jeans needle (they are size 90). Bring scissors, pins. Amy will have the fabric and foundation paper ready and do a demonstration.

If you previously volunteered to bring an ironing board or a rotary cutter/mat, please remember to do so!

Due to the amount of ground we need to cover, and needing to have enough time to sew our blocks, please continue to hold your show and tell until the May meeting. We will have a show-and-tell-a-palooza in May, I promise!
