Amy showed us quilt after quilt that displayed her thoughtful approach to fabric placement in quilt piecing, from special impactful fussy cuts to blenders and backgrounds. Amy's theory is that if you are going to spend time and money on fabric for making quilts you should also give consideration on how the fabric will be used within the quilt.
The June Meeting will be held on June 4 from 10-12 pm at the Newburyport Library, and we will focus on show and tell, sharing Riley Blake Challenge projects, discussing charity projects for the year, and have a Q&A about QuiltCon!
Riley Blake Challenge: Photos of your finished quilted project need to be uploaded to the MQG website by May 31. When submitting you can use the link https://mqg.submittable.com/submit/51053 or sign into the MQG site, go to the "Home" tab at the top, and then click to submit your project to the challenge. Please bring these, and any other show and tell, to the June meeting. I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with!
Registration is now open for the October Retreat day with the Cambridge Modern Quilt Guild. Find the link to sign up and more info here!
