Hi all!
Here's a round up of some events happening in the next few months!
June 24-26 - Vermont Quilt Festival
This year is the 40th year of the Vermont Quilt Festival! The special exhibit is a showing of quilts by Ruth McDowell, an Art Quilter.
While many classes are sold out, it appears that there are still openings in some of Amy Garro's classes, as well as many others.
July 29-31 - Maine Quilt Show
The Maine Quilt Show is held in Augusta and is organized by the Pine Tree Quilters Guild. They also have classes still open! The list of classes is here!

August 13 - Chawne Kimber of Completely Cauchy will be giving a class on working with small pieces. The class will be held at the Cambridge Marriott in Central Square from 10-5pm, the cost is $140. See more details here.

August 18-20 - World Quilt New England
This is a traveling show put on by a larger corporation. They are offering classes and a vendor hall in addition to the quilt show.

Some additional places to keep an eye on for classes are:
Gather Here - located in Cambridge and home to the Cambridge MQG, Gather Here has hosted Lizzy House and Carolyn Friedlander for workshops in the past. Maritza Soto of sotosewn teaches quilting classes regularly.
A Gathering of Stitches - located in Portland, Maine, A Gathering of Stitches is quickly becoming known for their weekend retreats with national level teachers. This August they will host Chawne Kimber and Alison Glass for a slow stitching retreat, and also hold garment and fabric dying workshops regularly.
Nido - located in Burlington, VT, nido has hosted teachers such as Heather Jones in the past and will have Carolyn Friedlander in July.
Quilted Threads - located in Henniker, NH has hosted some modern quilters in the past.

**There are many more shops locally, but I tried to highlight the shops that offer workshops with modern quilters. Most of these shops have newsletters and Facebook pages, which are both great ways to stay in the know!
