November SMQG Membership Meeting Minutes

October Color Palette from MQG

The palette leans on darker values of green, there’s lots of opportunity for you to further build out the palette and play with color.

Note that the numbers you see on the graphic are hex codes. These are digital codes that specify the color – these are helpful if you’re using digital programs to design quilts or are trying to color match using online tools and apps.

Announcements

  1. Brenda will be accepting donation quilts at the December meeting.  All quilts must be finished and twin size.  Donors will be entered for a drawing.

  2. All entries for the President's Challenge will be presented at the December meeting. The challenge was to make a completed quilt utilizing an idea or technique from the MQG website that is new to you.  There are two categories: small (30” x 30” or smaller) and large (larger that 30” x 30”).  Prizes will be awarded in each category.

Show & Tell

We all told our story of how we got into quilting and some brought a very early quilt they had made.  It was fun to hear everyone’s experiences.
